An Oculus Rift beta version is also in the works for the 20th of April; it will be stabilized with updates shortly after.

Olli Sinerma, co-founder of Mindfield Games, states:

The game takes place in an alternate universe, in the 1990s. In this alternate universe, the Internet was never invented and Lee Harvey Oswald never assassinated JFK. As a result, the space race continued to captivate minds as the US and the Soviets combine their efforts in order to explore what lies beyond Earth. Eventually, mining and research companies were constructed all across the Solar System. It is in Station M – recently built by RAMA Industries and situated on one of Saturn’s moons – that the game takes place. The player’s job is to investigate matters after a member of the research team at Station M goes missing.

Everything is interactive in P.O.L.L.E.N. One seemingly useless piece of junk could hold the key to a puzzle later on in the game.
